What We Believe
Articles of Faith
The Scripture
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, infallible in its original writings.
One God
We believe in the everlasting, eternal God, infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose. That this one true God has revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Man
We believe that man was made in the image of God and is the crown of creation. He is now by reason of the fall, spiritually depraved and alienated from his Creator, in need of salvation.
Repentance
We believe in repentance to God, confessing ourselves as sinners, turning away from the past sinful life and turning completely to God.
Redemption
We believe our redemption has been accomplished solely by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made sin for us, dying in our form and stead and rising again from the dead.
Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism is for all who believe (by immersion), being administered according to the scriptures.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is for all believers. “But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive…” John 7:39 “Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as He did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ…”
Holiness
We believe true holiness starts in the heart and is expressed by our character and actions. In our self we have no holiness and it must come from our relationship with our Lord. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men; teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldy lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world;” Titus 2:11-12 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14
